About

María José González cards are carefully made cards, designed to look as if each one was an individual watercolour painting. With simple, nearly ‘old fashioned’ designs, and printed on very high quality paper, these cards can be framed as little illustrations after they sent their message!

María José González works from her home studio in Churchtown Dublin.  She works with watercolour, pigment liners, and sometimes likes the vibrancy of other printed paper and introduces collage.

Cards are printed on natural Italian paper that has a cotton feel, produced from renewable sources and with 100% green energy.  The printers are based in Portobello, Dublin to maintain all the process from start to finish as local as possible. Then the cards are carefully folded and placed in protective bags to be later posted to your home.

María José González, originally from Argentina, has been living in Ireland since 2001. Back in Argentina, she completed a degree in Fine Arts and has a specialization in Fine Printmaking. She produced and directed 3 short animated films. And she was also involved in conservation and preservation projects in Argentina and Ireland.

After having a family, she started to make cards for new born babies, small children birthdays and then for more different occasions… and suddenly she had a collection of designs that when offered to the shops were a great selling success.
